WELCOME YOU TO ZUNI FETISH OUTLET
Zuni Fetish Outlet has grown from the love and respect of Native American carvings and the Native American culture that we have grown up with, and share with our parents Wes and Jill Holmes who have been in the business for over 30+ years, and have been on the internet with “Indian Summer Native American Art” since 1996

This makes us fifth generation dealers, since our great, great grandparents started the ball rolling back in the 1920’s in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and a number of our ancestors continued the tradition right down to us. We grew up in a houseful of fetish carvings and Native American art. We have been going on “buying trips” with our parents since we were in strollers and diapers. We have been very fortunate to meet a great deal of Native American artists that our family has had ties with for many years. Our childhood was a unique experience with beloved “uncles” dropping by the house to peddle their beadwork, flutes, folk art, etc. Our mom always made sure they had a good meal and a place to stay, and we would be entertained for hours listening to their remarkable tales.
While we love and appreciate all of the various Native American art work, we have always been drawn to the fetishes and their mystical powers, and began our own fetish collections when we were back in grade school. Our love and respect for this art form continues to grow and has become a passion with us that we hope to share with you.
Phyllis graduated from the University of Utah in 2006 with a degree in “Tourism and Hospitality”. She loves to travel and hopes to someday own and manage her own Hotel. She encourages and promotes trips to the various reservations and pueblos that will hopefully boost the Native American’s economy as well as educate and familiarize your “average tourist” with the Native American Culture. Liz graduated from the U of U in the spring of 2007 with a “Gender Studies” degree, which deals with human rights and equality. She’s striving to see that all women and minorities, including those of the Native American population, be treated fairly in the job market as well as in all aspects of life. We are both going back to the University of Utah and wish to further our education in the fields we enjoy. We love our school and we are big fans of our Football Team that won the Fiesta Bowl in 2005…...Go UTES!
If you are reading this page about us, we hope that you too share our enthusiasm, love, and respect for the fetish carvings, and we hope that we will be hearing from you soon. If we can answer any questions or address any concerns, please email us at: lph@zunifetishoutlet.com
